1. No pain, no gain… It is easy to watch someone do something really well and wish you could do it too. The problem is that we don’t see all the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into mastering a particular talent. Last year, I shared a video of my daughter landing her first flip…

1. Article I revisited… Two years ago, I saw an article that rocked me. Why it didn’t rock everyone, I do not know. 1. Question I was asked recently… I had a new patient that stopped on her way out of my office and asked if she could ask me a question. She asked what I did for birthdays with my kids in regards to things like cake and ice cream. She knows I’m all about making healthy…

1. Belated Father’s Day wishes… A little late, but I wanted to wish all dads a Happy Father’s Day! Our role as fathers is HUGE. Children do what they see… not what they are told. So we need to keep leading by example as best we can. I had a great Father’s Day that started…

Great news I heard this week… I took my son, Kyle, and nephew, Mason, fishing in Buffalo on the upper Niagara River (which flows north from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario with Niagara Falls in the middle) for my son’s 16th birthday. 1. Stat no one is talking about… We all know that the #1 risk factor for complications associated with COVID-19 is age. Do you know what #2 is??? OBESITY. 1. Craziest thing I learned/heard this week… At a time like this, I hear a lot of crazy things, but the one that shook me the most was that doctors have been instructed to list COVID-19 as the “probable” or “presumed” cause of death if they suspect that the patient had the virus EVEN IF…

1. Something I started doing again… When my three children were younger, every morning I would leave a quote written on a piece of poster board in the kitchen for them to read. 1. Coronavirus update… Simply put, this virus is fairly benign for most of us. However, the concern is how contagious it is, and its effect on the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. 1. Something I get to check off my bucket list… I love snow skiing.
