1. Documentary I watched…
Common Ground is a new documentary that “unveils a dark web of money, power, and politics behind our broken food system. The film reveals how unjust practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us. The film profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative ‘regenerative’ models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize America’s economy – before it’s too late.” I thought it was really well done and liked it A LOT. It did two things for me… reiterated how broken our food system really is… and got me super excited about the power and potential of regenerative farming. It’s a MUST WATCH for everyone. If we don’t fix our food system, there is no way we reduce the sickness in America. If we DO fix the food system, it has the power to radically reduce the massive amount of sickness and disease that is ravaging America right now. It’s on Amazon Prime. Check out the trailer below…
2. People ARE awesome…
I love seeing humans doing things that push the limits, do the “impossible,” and blow my mind. I have jumped off cliffs, skydived, and flown airplanes, helicopters, and powered paragliders, so it surprises people when they find out that I am actually a bit afraid of heights. So, one thing that really impresses me is people doing things from high places. It’s one thing to jump, but to add multiple flips and twists makes it that much crazier. I saw a compilation of feats performed by a guy named Ryan Bean on Instagram this week that BLEW ME AWAY! Absolutely incredible! Oh… and everything he does in this compilation was done in 2024. WOW! Watch the video below…
3. Quote I love…
“Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since nobody was listening, everything must be said again.” – Andre Gid
I like this quote because it reminds me that, as we struggle with the things we want most in this world… happiness, health, love, acceptance, purpose, success, etc… we already know enough. We’ve heard the information, read the strategies, and have seen what works. I may sound like I repeat myself when it comes to health and optimal living, but like the quote says… everything must be said again. Why? Because we NEED to hear it again and again.
