1. Video clip I loved…
I was sent a quick video clip (thanks, Kevin G.) of a college football player making a great catch in a recent scrimmage. The player is someone I’ve known since he was a baby, and his parents have been great friends of mine for a long time. This kid is A.J. Barner, the team is the Indiana Hoosiers, and the video is him going up and making a one-handed grab for a touchdown. You know I am all about maximizing human potential, so seeing him continue to just get better and better is so gratifying to watch. I referred to him in last week’s blog post, titled Replant Yourself for Optimal Growth, which you can read by clicking here. What I loved even more than watching him make such a phenomenal play… his teammates flocking around him, hugging him, slapping his helmet, and celebrating with him. That comradery, support, brotherhood, and love is a critical part of the human experience that we just don’t see or get enough of. Watch the 18-second clip below… and watch A.J. Barner over the next several years do some amazing things in football.
2. Enlightening video I watched this week…
Monday morning, I received this video from a patient (Thanks, Eric G.!) saying that I MUST watch it. Well, I’m really glad I did! Dr. Ryan Cole shares some very enlightening, eye-opening, timely, and extremely important information. I’m sure most of the information that he shares will be dismissed by mainstream media and most doctors as misinformation, they’ll label him as a quack, anti-vaxxer, and conspiracy theorist, and this video will be censored, but his credentials are impressive, and his knowledge-base is so solid. Watch it… or don’t… but as I have been saying all along, it is CRITICAL to have as much information as possible before making any decision that has to do with your health and the health of your family. Remember… brave doctors like Dr. Cole put their careers on the line by speaking out, and do so without any financial incentive. It would be much easier for doctors like him (and me) to sit back, be quiet, and neglect the ultimate responsibility we have as healthcare providers… which is to educate, empower, and help as many people as possible to be as healthy as possible. A key quote from Dr. Cole… “I am here to speak data, and the data speaks the truth.” And many of my other patients sent me this video after Eric did, so my guess is that most of you have already seen it, but here it is…
DR. RYAN COLE: COVID-19, MRNA BIOWEAPON, IVERMECTIN, & VITAMIN D
3. A reminder I had this week…
When setting goals, it is important to follow some guidelines to help ensure greater success in achieving those goals. I came across this mnemonic that is very helpful… S.M.A.R.T.
Specific… The more specific your goal, the better. Don’t be vague.
Measurable… Define the number or amount that proves you’re making progress.
Achievable… Make the goal challenging, but attainable. Think big, but be realistic.
Relevant… The goal needs to align with your long-term vision and your values.
Time-Bound… Set a target date. When, exactly, will you achieve this goal?
Not SMART… I will lose weight.
SMART… I will lose 20 pounds by June 5th.
A patient sent a message reminding me of the importance of goal setting. After losing over 25 pounds in six weeks on our weight loss program, he sent us a quote from a trainer that resonated with him… “A goal without a plan is just a dream.” (Thanks, Tom M.!) He had the goal… we gave him the plan. Set S.M.A.R.T. goals!
Our program ensures you will lose at least 20 pounds in just 6 weeks. And right now, we are offering the best deal we’ve ever done… Almost (but not quite) a 2-for-1.
