1. Product I love…
I believe activity trackers can have big benefits. I also believe the Oura Ring is the best one out there. I had the 2nd Generation model (thanks, Lana!), but lost it :(. I just received the new 3rd Generation Oura Ring (thanks AGAIN, Lana!!!), and I’m excited about some of its new features. I like a ring better than a watch, and it gives a lot of great data. I won’t over explain its features, as you can go to Ouraring.com to learn more, but I like that it gives me fairly accurate sleep data, heart rate variability (HRV), and the 3rd Generation upgraded to live heart rate 24/7. It will be able to measure blood oxygen levels within the next month or so. It also gives a Sleep, Activity, and Readiness score each day. I like these because it combines several metrics in each category and displays a number (between 1-100), which gives you a quick snapshot of how you are doing in each category. If you’re looking for an activity tracker, make sure you check out the Oura Ring.
2. Quote that got me thinking this week…
“Knowledge is power.”
I heard someone talking about this on a podcast, and they made the point that this quote is inaccurate. Knowledge is critical, but useless without action. There are A LOT of highly-educated, unsuccessful people in this world. You need knowledge, of course, but you must apply massive action to get the results you are looking for in life. Like the activity tracker I mention above… the data is great, but unhelpful if I don’t use that data to alter my behavior. Knowledge is potential power. Knowledge + Action = Power!
3. Wellness tip…
Do ONE THING today that moves you closer to a goal you have set or a New Year’s resolution you made. Do a workout, choose a healthier meal, make an important phone call, set up a lunch with a friend you want to reconnect with, or make the apology you’ve been wanting to make. Do that something TODAY. In fact, do it RIGHT NOW! How powerful that will be. How good that will feel. Do it TODAY!!!
