1. Book I’m listening to…
I just finished reading (actually listening to) the book, The Power of TED, by David Emerald. I recommend it! TED stands for The Empowerment Dynamic, which is a way to move from a victim mentality to a “creator” mentality and break what is called the Drama Triangle. It’s creatively written as a fable and follows a character named David as he recognizes a better, more productive, and more meaningful way of living by breaking his old patterns. These are patterns that we all exhibit throughout life. It’s an easy read (only 176 pages) and an even easier listen (just over 3 hours). Check it out here.
2. My favorite restaurant…
Town Hall Café,. in Cleveland (Ohio City), is definitely my favorite restaurant. This place is committed to serving great-tasting and super healthy food in a very cool and comfortable environment. Here is a line from their website… “TownHall set out to create a NON-GMO menu, not because it was easy, but because it is the right thing to do. We can no longer ignore the research being published daily pointing out the dangerous nature of GMO foods.” That’s right… they are 100% Non-GMO and mostly organic! Their food is delicious, they have the best bone broth I’ve ever had, and they serve 100% organic, cold-pressed juices that are made in-house. They don’t take reservations, and you can expect a wait, as the place is busy. Check out their story on their website here.
3. Picture I love…
There is a picture we hang from time to time in my office that I wanted to share here. In this day and age, we have complicated almost everything, including what we need to have to have fun and make us happy. We need to get back to the basics and simplify what we can in our lives.
