1. Entertaining (time-lapsed) video I made this week…
A patient brought me a celery plant a couple of weeks ago. I asked how often I need to water it. She said when it starts to droop, water it. Well, the other day I came out, and it was COMPLETELY drooped. Oops! I gave it water, set up my phone to do a time-lapsed video, and waited for it to do what ALL living things do when they get what they need. It popped back up, sprung back to full life, and looked as good as new. And it did it in just a few hours. Watch the time-lapsed video below for pure entertainment. And let this be a metaphor for you and your life… provide purity and sufficiency where you have toxicity and deficiency, and those areas that are “drooping” in life will pop back to being optimal. Enjoy! (And thank you, Helen V., for all the plants you bring me!)
2. Incredibly well-written (and referenced) post I read last week…
I followed the pandemic, and our response to it, as closely as anyone. Why? Because I believe we have a duty to be involved, educated, and aware of what is going on around us. I have wanted to write a summary of how things went down so that people could see it for what it was… a disaster. Well… I read a post by a medical doctor last week that was as well-written as anything I have seen yet. It saves me from having to write it (phew!). Why is it so good? It comes from a practicing medical doctor… who was very excited about the vaccine… who got vaccinated himself… it is well-written and thorough… it is very accurate… it isn’t loaded with opinions, but is factual… and it is highly referenced. My goal is never to convince anyone of anything, but to shed light on perspectives, philosophies, and facts that might help others better navigate their health, wellness, and life. Great job, Dr. Michael Turner! (And thanks, Christy P., for sharing!) I recommend everyone read his post…Click here (or click on the image below).
3. Song I’m liking…
The song ‘Til You Can’t, by Cody Johnson, is pretty good. The music is catchy, and I love the lyrics. You can watch/listen on YouTube by clicking below or by clicking here. While the lyrics as a whole are pretty “country,” it’s the chorus that I love the most…
“If you got a chance, take it, take it while you got a chance
If you got a dream, chase it, ’cause a dream won’t chase you back
If you’re gonna love somebody, hold ’em as long and as strong and as close as you can,
‘Til you can’t”
