1. Cartoon that made me laugh this week…
2. Something I’ve added to my daily regimen…
We started drinking limeade every day. What is limeade??? A full lime squeezed into 12 ounces of water and 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan salt. There are many reasons to include this into your daily routine, but what might get you excited about drinking it is its effect on what is called angiotensin-converting enzyme, a.k.a. ACE2. The way I understand it is that the SARS-Cov-2 virus binds to the ACE2 receptors in the lungs (as well as other areas of the body) when there are a lot of receptors available. More ACE2 in your system means that there are less receptors available for the virus to bind to. This could reduce complications associated with the virus. The limeade also acts as an alkalizer, which is also very good for your body. See below for a pic of the limeade, as well as a 3-minute video of Dr. Zach Bush (from his ReGenerations: Fertility, Childhood Development and Puberty Webinar) explaining some of its benefits…
3. Insane stat I read this week…
The average American each day touches their phone 2,617 times. Wow! We also average 2 hours and 30 minutes looking at our phones daily. Yikes!!! I think we can all agree that we are on our phones WAY too much. I’m going to make a serious effort to be at least a little less attached to my phone.
