1. Video I made and need to share…
I came across an article (click here for that article) about these new COVID-19 vaccines that will soon be available, and was rocked to find out that they will not slow down the virus, eliminate the virus, or even protect us from getting the virus. The goal of these vaccines is to merely reduce the severity of symptoms. I thought it would get glossed over by the media, and people would be uninformed, but then saw an interview with Dr. Fauci where he confirmed that, in fact, these vaccines will only prevent symptoms, not block the virus. (Find interview and article here.) I felt compelled to throw together a quick 6-minute video that might help explain these new vaccines. Please watch…
2. Quote I love…
“However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.” – Winston Churchill
Wow! What great words! We often spend a lot of time, money, and energy on things that do not move us closer to our actual goals. We pat ourselves on the back for how hard we work and how much we do, but it is critical to step back and look at where we are at and where all that work has gotten us.
3. Podcast I recently subscribed to…
After coming across Jay Shetty a few times, I started listening to his podcast, called On Purpose. Jay is the author of the recent international best seller, Think Like a Monk: Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose Every Day. I have not read his book yet, but will. He has some great wisdom! He recently did a podcast with his mentor and monk, Gauranga Das, that was filled with a bunch of nuggets. The main nugget I loved… We must control our urge to consume, to control, to convince, and to compete. Click here if you want to listen to that podcast.
