1. Recipe/Food I Tried…
I’m a big fan of zucchini noodles. They are easy to prepare if you have a zoodler (Under $12 at Amazon… ). Most grocery stores now sell them pre-cut, and many Italian restaurants allow you to substitute them for pasta. Keto-friendly food that is a great substitute for pasta noodles. Obviously, does not taste like pasta, but has a great texture and taste… without all those carbs.
2. Moving Experience...
I attended a wedding ceremony this weekend. She is from the U.S., he is from Cuba. They met while she was on vacation. Language barrier NOT an issue. After a great deal of planning and strategizing, and last minute craziness, he manages to get his Visa on Thursday, flies out of Cuba that night, gets marriage license on Friday, and they get married on Saturday. The ceremony was beautiful and everything went well, but more important… the love was palpable, and it was incredible to witness this next step in what will be an amazing story as it unfolds. And they have a baby on the way! Why a moving experience??? It’s amazing to think about how we are where we are at this moment and how events in our lives unfold. It’s moving to see two people passionately in love and excited about a future that many would not have worked so hard to make possible. What a story they will be able to tell. It moved me! 3. Great Quote…
“Every master was once a disaster.” I say this to my kids enough that once it starts coming out of my mouth, they will finish it in a sarcastic tone. But think about it, Lebron James could not dribble a basketball at one time in his life. We ALL start somewhere. We aren’t born with mastery. It takes time and effort. Don’t let fear or frustration prevent you from seeking new skills, talents, or hobbies. Everyone starts somewhere… even the greatest people you respect and idolize.
