1. Making more sense of this COVID-19 fiasco…
Like most people, I am taking in as much info on this virus as possible. I am not doing it in a fearful, panicky, anxious kind of way, but making sure that I have all the facts so that I can make the best decisions possible and lead my family (and patients) through truth and common sense to help ensure the best outcomes. This short podcast from Tony Robbins was packed with great info that you are likely not hearing in the news. It’s titled COVID-19 Facts From the Frontline. There are seven top-notch panelists in this podcast. One of them, Dr. Michael Roizen, M.D., Chief Wellness Officer Emeritus at Cleveland Clinic, shares the fact that those over 60 years old have had a death rate between 3% and 4%, while those under 60 years old have had a death rate of LESS THAN .002%! He states, “95-97% of the economy is driven by young people. You could really open up the whole economy and not have much increase in risk.” Note that the above-mentioned stats mean that those over 60 have a SURVIVAL rate of 96-97%, and those under 60 have a SURVIVAL rate of 99.998%. Add in to these numbers all of the people who have had the virus and have not been tested or did not know that they had it, and these numbers look EVEN BETTER. I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, but facts like these are why I am not personally worried about this virus. Check out the podcast. It is short and packed with great info from trustworthy and smart experts. Click the link below…
2. Problem I’m working on…
I’ve been dealing with elbow problems for a while. They are likely an issue because of the way I have abused them over the years. After 22+ years in practice, and having used my hands and arms to give nearly 500,000 adjustments, my joints have taken a beating. While I have worked out and done specific things to avoid injuries and problems like this, there have been times that I have injured myself. So, what am I doing right now for my elbows? Lots of stuff! This week I have had them adjusted by a chiropractor, had massage, have done specific stretches and exercises, did whole body cryotherapy, several joint-specific “local” cryotherapy treatments, and will have my good friend, Dr. Scott Sesny, do acupuncture on both elbows. I am sharing this with you because I think it helps to know that I deal with health issues like everyone else. I also want you to know what I am doing to try to remedy the problem. And like you, I don’t have time to stop doing the things that likely got me into this mess. And note that I combine therapies and get after it aggressively. Here are a few pics… whole body cryotherapy, the local cryotherapy, the acupuncture, and the aftermath from cupping that the massage therapist (Holly Legan) used during the massage.

3. Question that intrigued me…
James Clear (author of Atomic Habits) posted this question…
If someone could only see my actions and not hear my words, what would they say are my priorities?
A great thing to think about if interested in being the best possible version of yourself.
