1. A very cool gift…
I receive lots of great gifts around the holidays and am grateful for ALL of them. We were able to finally hang one of those gifts this week. It was a handmade American flag, made of wood, with the wood having burnt accents and hand-painted. It was as solid as could be… and heavy. We wanted to hang it somewhere we would see it often, so hung it in our mudroom, just inside the side door where we usually enter the house. It fit perfectly just above a half-door leading to our crawlspace. I LOVE that it is the first thing you see when walking into the house… and you can’t miss it. Makes me feel a certain way every time I see an American flag… it elicits a strong emotional response for me. Thanks, Dave D., for putting your heart and soul into the stuff you do and the things you make. And I love the way you etched the words “God Bless” into the back of it. Love you, brother! See a couple pics below…
2. Wellness tip (with video)…
I know I’ve posted about this in the past, but thought it worth a re-post. Most mornings, we start our day with a glass of “limeade.” This is a glass of water with one full lime squeezed in it and a quarter teaspoon of grey Celtic or Himalayan sea salt. This changes the polarity and structure of the water in a way it gets into the cells much more effectively. We MUST be hydrated. Limeade improves hydration… along with alkalizing the body, boosting the immune system, improving digestion, improving brain function, enhancing blood sugar regulation, and more. I made a quick recording of me making the limeade to show just how quick and easy it is…
3. Social media post I loved…
Townhall Café, one of our favorite restaurants here in Cleveland, post some of the best stuff. I love the quotes, images, messages, and stats that they share. Here is one that I think hits home pretty hard…
