1. Belated Father’s Day wishes…
A little late, but I wanted to wish all dads a Happy Father’s Day! Our role as fathers is HUGE. Children do what they see… not what they are told. So we need to keep leading by example as best we can. I had a great Father’s Day that started with a delicious brunch and later had a quick waterski run after the rain with my kids, Emma, Quincy, and Kyle. What a blast! Last year, I wrote a blog about my dad, a blog for which I received more feedback than just about any other blog.. EVER. Read that blog here.
2. Recognition I received…
I recently was informed that I was voted as a finalist as the Best Chiropractor in the Cleveland Magazine’s Best of the East edition (April 2020). According to their website… “The Best of the East showcases the most outstanding businesses and people on the East Side as voted upon by the readers of Cleveland Magazine.” There are three finalists listed. I am not sure who voted, but am very grateful for those that did.
3. Very cool thing I saw…
This past weekend, my girlfriend and I went to a wedding in Greenville, S.C. The bride has a ten year old son who gave a speech. This kid spoke so well, without notes, and rocked it! My favorite part… when he said that he knew it was the greatest day of his mom’s life, and the greatest day of his dad’s life (I love that he calls his stepdad “dad”), and that’s why it was the greatest day of his life. Wow! He had everyone tearing up. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen at a wedding.
Funny side note… I flew us to Greenville, and about an hour into the flight, we realized that we FORGOT OUR HANGING DRESS CLOTHES! Somehow, at 10,000 feet we were able to get enough of a cell signal to get texts sent to my daughter, who was able to get the clothes to Sue (who’s been with me in my office for almost 20 years). Sue was, coincidentally, driving to Ashville, N.C., to see her son. We were able to drive about an hour the next day, meet Sue, get the clothes, and make it back before the wedding. Phew! Here is a quick time-lapsed video of us descending from 10,000 feet to Runway 1 at Greenville Downtown Airport.
