1. 7 simple tips for a healthier, happier, fuller 2024…
We’ve overcomplicated health. It doesn’t need to be confusing, overwhelming, difficult, or painful. Here are 7 simple tips that are guaranteed to boost your health this next year. Implement them immediately.
- Eat more real, whole foods, and less processed, junk foods.
- Move your body every day in some way. Park further from the office. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Set a timer on your phone to get you up and moving for just 1-2 minutes (10 jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups, run in place, quick walk around the office, etc.)
- Think of or write down 3 things that you are grateful for each day. First thing in the morning or just before bed is a great time to do this.
- Improve your sleep. Make the room a little colder, darker, and quieter. Go to bed a little bit earlier. Read, meditate, do breath work, or pray just before bed to wind down.
- Set one goal or habit you will commit to working on daily for the next twelve weeks… and work on it… every day… even if for just a few minutes.
- Take the Essential Three. These are three supplements that most Americans are deficient in that can help with almost every condition known and will provide your body with building blocks it needs to be fully well. They are… Vitamin D (with K2)… Fish Oil… and a Multivitamin (from whole foods, not synthetic).
- Fresh fiber first! Before each meal or snack, have some fruit or vegetable (fiber). It will prep your digestive tract for optimal digestion, reduce the amount you eat, provide you with vitamins and minerals, and feed your healthy gut bacteria.
2. Movie I saw this week…
A book was recommended to me by my sister-in-law a couple of years ago called, The Boys In the Boat (Thanks, Marla!). Lana and I started the book, reading out loud together, but for some reason never finished it. Fortunately, the movie came out this week. I loved it! It’s a true story, was well done, and will leave you feeling inspired. It reminded me that human beings NEED to be in pursuit of a worthy goal. We NEED something to drive us… motivate us… push us… and inspire us. We were able to round up most of our kids, and I am REALLY glad they saw this film. Take your kids if you can. See… this… movie. I would tell you more about the movie, but don’t want to spoil anything for you. You may even want to skip the trailer if you are unfamiliar with the story and want to be fully surprised. I’ll put the trailer below if you do want to check it out.
3. Post I saw this week (and loved!)…
Townhall Café in Cleveland has one of the best social media people. They are consistently posting thought-provoking, honest, and inspiring quotes and pics. This one caught my attention this week…
Happy New Year, folks! I want to thank you for your continued trust and for following these Friday’s Findings and my blog posts. I LOVE sharing what I can with you and hope it is making a difference. One of my goals this year is post more videos here, as many of you have requested that. I ask that you PLEASE pass the link to my Friday’s Findings to anyone you can. I want to double the number of subscribers over the next six months… and can’t do it without you. Thanks again for your trust… and thanks in advance for helping to spread the word!
