1. Snack I love…
I am constantly on the lookout for sweet and tasty (and healthy) snacks. We found these freeze-dried fruit snacks… Crispy Fruit (from the company Crispy Green)…and love them! There are no other ingredients in them other than the fruit itself. We’ve tried all of them, and they are ALL great. My favorites are banana and mango. I think I ordered the variety pack directly from the Crispy Greens site, but they have a better variety pack on Amazon. 2. Comic that made me laugh…
Someone sent me this comic (Thanks, John M.!) While it did make me laugh, I have to admit I have found myself frustrated and disgusted with our political system. No matter what side of politics you are on, the whole system is corrupt, dangerous, and pathetic. We, the people, are being poorly represented and misled, and it’s a terrible shame. At what point do we say enough is enough??? If you think your political party, no matter which side you are on, is the answer… I’d venture to say you’re wrong. Empty promises, corruption, and extreme infighting has prevented us, and will continue to prevent us from being the incredible nation we have the potential of being.
3. Short video loaded with some good nutrition info…
My buddy, Dr. Jon Snyder, is a constant source of info. He sent me this video (also below) from Dr. Berg, titled “The Healthiest Foods You Need in Your Diet.” He lists and describes what he feels are 7 of the healthiest foods. Obviously, there is A LOT of disagreement when it comes to what we should be eating, so… take it or leave it. I think Dr. Berg has valuable info and is very good at explaining complex concepts. This video is 22 minutes long, but worth it. It has gotten over 8 million views on YouTube. I don’t love trying to isolate individual foods as “the healthiest,” as there are so many healthy, important, nutrient-dense foods, but I like how he breaks down why each of these foods is so important. If you don’t like any of these (I do not like salmon), or disagree with any of these listed, don’t eat them. Choose a different healthy food instead.
