1. Great event I attended last weekend…
This year’s NCAA Wrestling National Championships were held in Cleveland. I love watching college wrestling… and it doesn’t get any better than this. We were there and got to see some incredible matches. These guys are so good… so tough… and are absolute WARRIORS. If you are not into wrestling, I get it… it’s not for everyone. But I think you will appreciate this short video they played before the finals on Saturday night…
2. A video clip that got me to reflect…
One wrestler, Aeoden Sinclair, shared his perspective on the grind of wrestling. You can see how he loves the sport, but also how he focuses on the opportunity he has, the gifts he’s been given, and the blessing of being able to do what he does. I love what he says, but it also hit me that this attitude can apply to EVERYTHING IN LIFE! I caught myself complaining about some petty stuff this week, but quickly reminded myself of how blessed I am to do what I do, how lucky I am to be surrounded by the family and friends I have, and that when it comes to just about everything… I have a choice with how I look at those things. We ALL have a choice when it comes to adversity, hard work, and responsibilities… choose GRATITUDE, OPTIMISM, and see the BLESSINGS. Watch Sinclair’s AWESOME take on things…
3. A cold plunge this week…
Many of you know that last year I did a cold plunge in the lake behind my house every day in January. It was a COLD January, with one day being -17 degrees WITHOUT the wind chill. I’m a big fan of cold exposure, as it provides numerous health benefits. Well, this year I did NOT do a cold plunge every day in January, but I have done a few. This week, I went in after a workout… and it felt GREAT. Actually… it was a bit miserable… but I felt great AFTERWARD. Lana took a few pics…
