1. Uplifting patient encounter I had this week…
I have a patient that I had not seen in a few years, as she had moved out of state. I won’t give you all the details, but simply put, she was struggling with a recurrence of cancer that was deemed incurable. The doctors told her chemotherapy was her only chance of extending her life. After one round of treatment, she ended up in the hospital for ten days and almost died due to a reaction to the chemo. After taking a break from that treatment, the pandemic hit. She said that she decided that she would rather die from cancer than from COVID, so she did not return to the hospital. After two years, she returned to her doctor, and found out that she was cancer-free. The doctor had no explanation, but stated that he would call it a miracle. Not only was I amazed to see her, as I anticipated the worst (based on the severity of her condition the last time I saw her), but she looked the healthiest I have ever seen her. She said she did not do anything radical on her own, but did take some nutritional products and herbal remedies. She is sending me information on what she took. I am NOT making any medical recommendation here, and every case is dramatically different, I am only sharing this because it was a HUGE highlight in my week, and rocked me pretty hard. I also share this as a reminder that miracles DO happen.
2. Quote I love…
“One of my concerns about this failure of science is science is not a unified body of knowledge. Ever. And that’s what is concerning to me, is that what got defined in the last couple of years makes people believe ‘trust the science,’ which suggests that science is a body of unified knowledge. Science is process in which we explore truth. Science is never a ‘book of truth.’ And that’s a very dangerous P.R. campaign, when we allow someone to co-op science and say it’s a known body of knowledge. Then we are not allowed to challenge anything. And, so that’s the very dangerous time we are in now. Where people have been deluded into thinking that science knows what the hell it is talking about.” Dr. Zach Bush
To summarize… Science is ever evolving. It is not set in stone. The word and use of science was abused during this pandemic, misleading people into believing we know more than we know. Science is always evolving, as is our understanding and knowledge about how we responded these past two years. We need to continue to “question the science,” not merely trust it, to ensure we are doing our best. And we need to open the floor to all scientists and listen to their ideas, questions, and concerns. To censor them has been dangerous, un-American, and unscientific.
(Dr. Bush is my favorite health and wellness expert. Likely the smartest person I’ve heard speak.)
3. Test I’m looking into…
The CDC recently announced that it found the toxic herbicide glyphosate (the active ingredient in the weed killer Roundup) in the urine of 87% of the children tested, and 80% of the adults tested. Glyphosate has been classified as “probably carcinogenic to humans.” Yep… that means it “probably” causes cancer. Thirty-two other countries have banned the use of this toxic chemical… but NOT here in the U.S. This should infuriate you!!! A company, Great Plains Laboratory, is offering a test that will test to see if you have glyphosate in your body, and if so, how much. I am in contact with this company to find out if there is a protocol that they know of, or offer, to eliminate that toxin from the body, but am still waiting to talk to one of their doctors. Obviously, it would be interesting to know if you have glyphosate in your body, but I want to know if there is a way to eliminate it. Once I have more info, I will share that with you. And if it is something of value, I will offer that test to our patients and subscribers, along with a strategic way to reduce that amount in your body (if that is even possible). In the meantime, pay attention to this chemical, as we need to get it banned and out of our food supply. Click here for an article on the topic if interested in reading more.
