1. Quote I love…
“Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard.
Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard.
Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard.
Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard.
Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely.” -Unknown
My daughter, Emma, and I had a conversation this week about school, careers, relationships, and life. It was great! At one point, she brought up the above quote as something she thinks about. That there are two kinds of hard… so why not choose the one that improves your life. I love that! I will expound on this “two kinds of hard” in a blog post in the next couple weeks. Watch for it.
2. Prediction I am making this week…
I believe we will start to see a decline in COVID cases and deaths in mid-February. It has been known that a certain number of cases must occur in the general population before we are to see the virus start to dissipate. I believe we are peaking now and will see that decline soon, probably within the next month. It will not go away, but will start a downward trend. This is only a prediction. Let’s hope I am correct!
3. Uplifting video I watched this week…
Tim Ferris posted this video last week in his “5-bullet Friday” email that he sends out. It’s titled “When a Costumed Person Destroys The Drums At Children’s Music Concert – NyangoStar.” He noted that in the description below the video it says… “clinically proven to help with depression.” I don’t know about its effect on depression, but I have to say, it made me laugh and definitely elevated my mood. This guy (or gal) tears it up on the drums like I’ve never seen.
