1. Amazing human being I’ve watched lately…
I first saw this kid a while back, and since then, he has popped up on different social media feeds from time to time. His name is Samuel Henderson, a 12-year-old from Choctaw, Oklahoma. He has been diagnosed with autism and Tourette syndrome. He has an incredible ability to accurately imitate over 125 bird calls. Many of them I do not recognize, but when he imitates the birds that I do recognize, they are spot on. He also has a very kind nature about him and is fun to watch. See two clips of him below. One is from a year ago, when he could only mimic 50 birds. The second video is very recent. Pretty amazing!!!
2. Great podcast I listened to this week…
I’m a big fan of Dr. Zach Bush and have posted about him in the past. He’s a triple board-certified medical doctor with unique experiences ranging from working with emergency procedures in the ER to being with hospice patients, to working with cancer research, and so much more. He is one of the smartest and most well-spoken wellness experts alive today. He recently was on Joe Rogan’s podcast. It was LOADED with lots of deep ideas, concepts, and information. One short segment caught my attention, and it has popped into my head numerous times since. Rather than trying to explain it, I’m posting that short portion of the podcast here. Check it out (make sure your sound is turned on)…
3. Quote I read this week… and re-read several times…
“You have mistaken comfort for peace for so long that discipline now feels like suffering.”
– Marcus Aurelius
