1. Something I am super excited about…
We had a new doctor join our practice, Dr. Michael Abood. I’ve been looking to bring another doctor in for a while, and I am so happy to have him join us. Dr. Michael did his undergraduate studies at Miami of Ohio and his doctorate work at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. His uncle, Dr. Noel Abood, was a prominent chiropractor and a mentor of mine (I spent time shadowing him when I was in high school). As people are realizing the shortcomings of traditional medicine, they are flocking to alternatives, like chiropractic care. Unable to keep up with the demand, the addition of Dr. Michael to our practice will allow us to care for more patients and help make the impact on our community that I have been striving for for over two decades. He and I share the same philosophies on health and wellness, and he will be a perfect fit for our practice. He is smart, caring, and super ready to start helping as many people as possible. Join me in welcoming Dr. Michael to our practice and community. I am so excited and grateful to have Dr. Michael join us! (These next two weeks, we will be seeing all new patients for only $35, which will include a consultation, examination, and x-rays, if needed. Please tell your friends, co-workers, and family members, as there is no better time to discover the far-reaching benefits of the care our office provides. Appointments must be made by calling 330-405-2751.)

2. Book I am reading…
I love most of what author, Ryan Holiday, puts out. He has three easy-to-read books that are very good, and I have found to be very helpful. The three titles are… The Obstacle is the Way, Stillness is the Key, and Ego is the Enemy. I had listened to the audio version of The Obstacle is the Way, but I am re-reading it right now. The back cover of this book gives this description… “Based on the timeless philosophical principles laid down by Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius and a rich trove of unexpected historical examples, THE OBSTACLE IS THE WAY presents an infinitely elastic formula for turning our toughest trials into our greatest triumphs.” All three books are easy reads and are truly impactful. You can find the links for each of these books, with more detailed information here.
3. Silliest thing I heard this week…
“Something is better than nothing.”
I had two people say this exact line this week, and I have heard it quite a bit in the past several months. It is simply not true… and very, very dangerous!
