1. Patriotic display worth noting…
I love the 4th of July, or Independence Day, as it signifies our independence and reminds of us of our amazing freedoms. I am a HUGE fan of those serving our country, as well as all of those that have served. The American flag is something that elicits emotions in me every time I see one. I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and to live in the United States. I love seeing all the flags flying on the 4th of July. There is a man in Hudson, Ohio, that covers his entire yard with small flags. I’ve seen it in the past, but this year stopped and took a few pics. I drove up the driveway to commend him and to ask permission for me to post the pics. Turns out, I know him. Great guy… veteran… and passionate American. I could have sat and talked with him for hours, but had to leave. He has been doing this for years, and currently there are over 4,000 flags in his yard. Yep… over 4,000!!! Cars regularly honk as they pass, notes get dropped in his mailbox, and he is regularly given gifts from strangers. Thank you, Lou S., for the reminder, for your service, and for your incredible patriotism. See pics below.
2. Healthier party food options…
I was at a graduation party last week that had incredible food, with some super healthy options (Thanks, Pam and Greg R.!). There was a veggie tray, which is not so uncommon, but this one was huge. And something I had not seen before… a huge roasted veggie tray/bowl. This thing looked AMAZING… and tasted incredible. These were both put together by Mazullo’s Market (Aurora and Bainbridge… mazzulos.com), and they did a phenomenal job. There was also a corn/edamame salad that I had never had before, and it was SO good. We actually ordered some of that for our 4th of July get-together. I’ll post pics of the roasted veggie bowl and the corn/edamame salad below. My point here is that you can have super tasty options that are also healthy. (Of course, I hit the dessert table at that party too.🤷🏻♂️). The roasted veggie dish blew me away.
3. Quote I love…
“We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it.”

***Help us help others…***
We have contributed to Our Community Hunger Center here in Twinsburg in the past. Dr. Abood stopped to ask if they were in need of anything, and they said they were low on personal hygiene products. So… we are doing a drive for these products between now and August 2nd. They are in need of products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, body wash, Q-tips, laundry detergent, combs, Chapstick, razors, deodorant, etc. Any donations are welcome and appreciated. And if you have any family, friends, or co-workers that need to be checked in our office… we are seeing new patients for only $25 (includes consultation, examination, x-rays, and first adjustment) and ALL of those proceeds will be donated to the center as well. Let’s blow them away with how much we can donate! See the flyer below for more info…
