1. Most creative thing I’ve seen in a while…
I’m continuously amazed at what humans are capable of. I love coming across things that impress me, surprise me, or move me emotionally. I came across a post by a couple that call themselves Chris and Crystal’s AI Art. Their videos, music, and lyrics are incredible. I was excited to see that they have many videos posted, and I caught myself watching one after another. I watched a couple of them twice. They are captivating. The creativity is unbelievable. The music is so good. And the lyrics are so well written. See one of the videos/creations below, and if you search Chris and Crystal’s AI Art in YouTube, all of their stuff will come up. I’d love to see how they do what they do. It would be cool to have a behind-the-scenes look at exactly how they go from start to finish. And I believe all of their music is original. Check them out!
2. Disappointing/concerning info I came across this week…
We have been very conscious of the oils we consume these days. I believe processed seed oils are overused and damaging to the human body, and I believe the massive amounts of this stuff in most foods is a major contributor to the rampant sickness and disease we are seeing. The nuts that we buy are dry roasted, the oils we cook with are pure and are stable at higher temperatures, and when we see seed oils on labels, it usually deters us from buying those products. The oils we look for and have trusted primarily are olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and avocado oil. Well… news broke this week that 89% of foods labeled as containing avocado oil contain cheaper, less healthy oils, like soybean oil. According to the UC Davis study published just last month, “100% of tested salad dressings, 93% of avocado oil chips, and 71% of mayonnaise products (100% of U.S.-made mayonnaise) failed purity tests.” I just saw this info this morning, so I haven’t taken the deepest dive yet, but it bums me out to once again have to rethink something I felt was so healthy. For now, I will not give up the Jackson’s Sweet Potato Chips (cooked with avocado oil) just yet (because they are still likely healthier than other brands and styles of chips… and because I LOVE THEM), but I’ll keep you posted. 3. Something I read this week that got me thinking…
In James Clear’s 3-2-1 newsletter, he poses 3 ideas, 2 quotes, and 1 question. This week, the question he poses is from an executive coach, Joe Hudson.
“Instead of thinking, ‘What’s wrong and how do I fix it?’… try exploring, ‘What’s right and how do I grow it?’”
I like that because I have a tendency to overlook the good going on and focus on what’s wrong. I could do one hundred things great in a day… and one thing wrong… and what do think I am thinking about at night when going to bed? Yep… that one thing that I did wrong. I will be trying to focus more on what is right… and how to grow THAT!
