1. Quote I think about this time of year…
“Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade.” -Tony Robbins
This is a powerful quote… because it is so true! We have a tendency to set big goals, then think we can do it all in too short of time. I don’t let this deter me from setting big goals, I just chunk them down so I can accomplish the smaller goals along the way, in a timeframe that is realistic, that over time leads to the bigger goals. I remind myself of this each year as I think about what I want to do the upcoming year, which helps me avoid falling short, getting discouraged, and giving up entirely. So… I hope you have set some goals for the new year… and I hope they are big goals… but make sure you consider what is realistic over the next twelve months, and what you want to achieve over the next decade.
2. Word to remember in 2020…
In·san·i·ty: Doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.
If you put time and energy into trying to change or improve something in your life this past year, yet saw no change, then DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Doing more of the same things, despite not getting the results you want, is futile. And thinking that those same actions and behaviors will somehow, some way, get you better results really is INSANITY. Think of what you want to change/improve in your life this year, and take action that actually gets you the change you are seeking. If that action is not working, TAKE DIFFERENT ACTION.
3. Video worth re-watching…
I made this video last year, and it’s been on this site ever since. If you haven’t seen it, check it out. If you have seen it, watch it again. It was my #1 tip for 2019, and I think it’s the best tip I can give you again this year. I plan on adding more videos to the “Video” section of this site in 2020. Please pass the video on to family and friends if you think they’ll benefit from it. And I would greatly appreciate you encouraging family, friends, and co-workers to subscribe to these Friday’s Findings. I’d like to make a bigger impact on more people in 2020. Now check out this quick 3-minute video…
