1. Person I was thinking about this week…
My mom sent a reminder this week that Monday would have been my grandparents’ anniversary. She included a couple of pics. My grandfather, Bill Padavick, is one of my ALL TIME favorite people. He was always laughing and joking around, was kind and caring, and lived a rich life with very simple means. I remember peering over the seat on the school bus as it came to my stop on the top of the hill, hoping his car was in the driveway. If it was, I’d run down the hill as fast as I could, drop my bookbag in the garage as I grabbed my fishing pole, and join him in the backyard to fish. I absolutely loved being around this man. He taught me a lot, but his positive, lighthearted attitude is what I remember most. My mother summed up his philosophy on life best… There are not too many thing in this world that are that important, but the things that are important… are VERY important. I love this! I credit him and this philosophy for my ability to keep the important things important and to let the little things slide… and to be able to differentiate between the two.
2. Product I love…
When I was younger, I loved sleeping over my cousin Eric’s house. Of course, I loved being around their family, but truth be told, I also loved that they had sugar cereals. We did not have those cereals growing up, so I was thrilled when I could have Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, or (my favorite) Fruity Pebbles. These cereals have to be among the worst things you can put into your body. Definitely not a great way to start your day. So I was thrilled to hear about Magic Spoon. These guys basically “reimagined” the childhood cereals you love, making them healthy. Magic Spoon cereal is High-Protein, Low-Sugar, Keto-Friendly, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, Soy-Free, Wheat-Free, and Nothing Artificial. I ordered the variety pack and loved all of them. I use almond milk, coconut milk, or macadamia nut milk on top. It is sweetened with a natural blend of monk fruit, stevia, and allulose. They have over 8,000 5-star reviews, and I have to say it truly did take me back to those days when I could get my hands on those sugary cereals. My favorite? Fruity. I just ordered a case of four this morning. Yum!
