1. Great sign we saw this week…
When we have bloodwork done, it is usually through Quest Labs. They have locations everywhere, but we use the labs in Twinsburg (on Edison Blvd.) or in Aurora (at UH in front of Heinen’s). When it comes to any healthcare encounter, the healthcare provider plays a huge role in how the experience goes. Well…this week, one of our sons had blood drawn at the Aurora location, and I want to give a shout out to Kim, the phlebotomist that drew his blood. She was super professional, kind, and very good at what she does. I wanted to acknowledge her for that, as well as post a pic of a sign she had hanging from her computer table right in front of where patients sit to have blood drawn. It’s one thing to post commitments like this… but another to actually follow it. She definitely follows it! Wouldn’t it be nice if EVERYONE in the healthcare industry adhered to this philosophy??? Are you adhering to this philosophy???
2. Wellness tip…
Every day, Lana and I drink one electrolyte drink. We were making our limeade drink for a long time each morning, which consisted of a half to a full lime squeezed into a water bottle with a 1/8 to a 1/4 teaspoon of Celtic or pink Himalayan sea salt. I posted a video of me making it a few years ago. In our ongoing effort to make life easier, Lana came up with a great idea. We started squeezing the lime into an ice cube tray and freezing it. This allows us to fill up the water bottle, pop out the ice cubes, and put two cubes in each bottle. Two cubes are equal to half of one large lime. We then put the salt in, and it’s ready to go. EASY! I explain the process in a quick video below. Remember… the easier something is to do, the more likely we are to continue doing it.
3. Products I recommend…
I’ve recommended dozens of products over the years. If interested, you can click here to see ALL the products I’ve recommended. I can tell you that I thoroughly vet any product I ever use… and I will NEVER recommend a product that I don’t fully trust and use myself.
