1. Something I thought about a lot this week…
The single most powerful factor in healing faster, achieving success, and living optimally is ATTITUDE. I was reminded of this last weekend (Thank you, Sharon M.!) and noticed it A LOT this week. We can’t control what happens to us… but we can control how we respond. Your attitude is SUPER important!
2. Super scary stat I saw this week…
The new autism rates came out recently, and they are NOT good. On March 24, 2023, the CDC published an analysis in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report which found the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to be 1 in 36 (among eight-year-old children in the U.S.). That… is… crazy! And UNACCEPTABLE! How bad do these stats have to get before we launch an all-out investigation into what is causing this? 1 in 36 is SOOOOO SERIOUS!
3. Audiobook I just finished…
I just finished Glucose Revolution: The Life-Changing Power of Balancing Your Blood Sugar, by Jesse Inchauspé. It was recommended to me by a friend (Thanks, Jill Z.!), and I loved it. Very well-written, easy to understand, and actually helped me to better understand concepts that I thought I already knew pretty well. I believe managing your blood sugar is one of the most powerful things you can do to reduce your risk of disease, boost your energy and immune function, and live an overall healthier life. Here is a very brief description from Amazon… Drawing on cutting-edge science and her own pioneering research, biochemist Jessie Inchauspé offers ten simple, surprising hacks to help you balance your glucose levels and reverse your symptoms—without going on a diet or giving up the foods you love. For example:
* How eating foods in the right order will make you lose weight effortlessly
* What secret ingredient will allow you to eat dessert and still go into fat-burning mode
* What small change to your breakfast will unlock energy and cut your cravings
I highly recommend this book. And I have already gifted this book to four people. Click here for a link to the book on Amazon.
Happy Easter! Have a great weekend!
