1. Interview I did this week…
Most of you know that we run a weight loss program in our office and remotely. The amazing transformations we get to see and the incredible stories we get to hear are what drive us to continue doing what we do. This week, I interviewed Dan, one of our patients who recently completed his second round of the program, losing an unbelievable 70 pounds in just five months. See my short interview with him below and hear how making the decision to do this program changed his life. His goal is to lose a total of 100 pounds, which I know he will do. Thanks, Dan, for being so committed to making the change you’ve made, losing the weight you’ve lost, and for being an inspiration to so many others. And thanks for sharing your story with me in this interview. You’re awesome!!! (If interested in our weight loss program, we have extended the $100 discount through the end of next week. January is a GREAT time to lose weight!)
2. Ruling I was happy to see this week…
On Tuesday this week, a federal court granted a temporary injunction to block enforcement of the vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. I have been strongly opposed to these mandates, as I believe all medical choices should be personal and never forced. If this ruling is upsetting to you, and you believe mandating these vaccines is a good idea, please think about these two things… (1.) Why do you think roughly 20% of healthcare workers, those with advanced education and knowledge about the body, medicine, and health, are opposed to getting the vaccine? (2.) The primary effect of the vaccine, according to health officials and the vaccine manufacturers, is that it may reduce the severity of symptoms for the person receiving the vaccine (thus possibly preventing complications and possibly death), and not prevent a person from getting the virus, nor preventing the spread of the virus.
I do not believe anyone should be prevented from getting the vaccine if they want to get it, and do not believe anyone who does not want to get the vaccine should be coerced, bullied, or forced to get it. This goes for ANY medical intervention.
3. Quote I read this morning…
“They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.” -Dinos Christianopoulos (Greek poet)
I love, love, love this quote! Powerful! It came in a weekly mail I receive from James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits.
***Our Toys for Tot toy drive is next week. The Marine Corp. picks up all toys on Friday, Dec. 10th. All locals can drop a new, unwrapped toy at our office. Thanks in advance for helping us help others!
