1. Upsetting (and alarming) thing that happened to me this week…
I have written articles every week in the three local papers (Aurora, Hudson, and Twinsburg) for roughly 17 years. These articles are the same as the blogs I post every Tuesday on my site (drbizjak.com). This week, the paper WOULD NOT publish my article, saying it is “too controversial.” So, I sent them different content, basically telling readers that the paper is now reviewing my articles and will determine what can and cannot be published, and that they can find all past and future articles on the blog page of my website, drbizjak.com. The paper refused to print that also. They sent back a revised (censored) version, which they said they would approve, and in this one, they had omitted the line where I said that they were now reviewing my articles. So… I have severed ties with them and will not be running any more articles/ads in that paper. You can see my revised post that they refused to run below, and you can find the article they would not run because it was “too controversial” on my blog page this coming Tuesday. It is titled, “The Case AGAINST Science.” I encourage you to read it and share it. It is shameful (and scary) to know that censorship is running so rampant. And no matter what your beliefs are in regards to anything… censorship of any kind, in this country, should alarm you!!!
2. Poem you might like…
We hang this poem in the office every year around this time. A LOT of patients request copies. So, I thought I would share it here…
3.Series we just finished…
We just finished the series Dopesick. The final episode was released this week (there are 8 total). This is the drama starring Michael Keaton, about the opioid crisis, Purdue Pharma, and the Sackler family. You can watch it on Hulu. I know I recommended it in a recent Friday’s Findings, but wanted/needed to push it again. This is a much-watch series and will open your eyes to how big-pharma operates. Michael Keaton is SO good in this series. Check it out!
