1. New therapy you need to know about…
Most of you have heard about Red Light Therapy (a.k.a. photobiomodulation or PBMT). It is a very powerful way to improve cell function, thus potentially impacting just about ALL health conditions. PBMT stimulates the release of free radicals from the cell, allowing more oxygen to be utilized by the cell. This results in increased cellular energy production and increased circulation while reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. PBMT has been shown to increase the rate and quality of tissue repair, improve muscle performance, enhance recovery, and reduce pain (among many other health benefits). We brought a red light therapy bed into our office and have been using it now for about three months. I can say, with certainty, that it has powerful and profound effects on a variety of health issues. As with any health intervention, it is impossible to guarantee results as everyone is different, but we’ve now seen reduction in pain, better sleep, better moods, reduced inflammatory markers, improved skin conditions (acne, age spots, blemishes, etc.), better memory and less brain fog, and even better vision. While these are all based on subjective data (what patients are reporting), the potential for results is very clear. One patient has seen positive changes in her bloodwork regarding her autoimmune condition. Our office now offers the most powerful red light therapy device available… the TheraLight 360+. I highly recommend trying it either in our office or by finding a location near you at www.theralight.com. I show you this TheraLight 360+ and explain more in the video below (and you can read more about Red Light Therapy in this week’s blog.)
If (and only IF) you are interested in a more scientific explanation of red light therapy, watch the video below…
2. Something I am training for…
Every summer my son, Kyle, and I compete in the TRI-CLE – Rock Roll Run, which is a triathlon in downtown Cleveland that in past years started at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and ended at Edgewater Park. There are three levels of this event–Olympic, Sprint, and Super Sprint. We do the least difficult level, the Super Sprint. I’d love to see any of you down there competing with us. The Super Sprint does not require hard-core training, and there is still time to get ready. It is a very cool event, and this year, the swim and run will both be at Edgewater Park (overlooking Lake Erie), and the bike is along the Memorial Shoreway (highlighting the Cleveland skyline). It has a great vibe! If you decide to register, please let me know. It will take place on Sunday, August 18th. It’s not too late to register!!! Check out the details at www.rockrollrun.com. See a 3-minute highlight video below that they put together from last year…
3. Bumper sticker I saw…
I saw a bumper sticker that said… “Go around me… I left on time!” How great is that? Funny thing is… I was probably complaining about how slowly they were driving… because I was probably running late… because I likely did NOT leave on time. Haha!
**Shout out…
A quick shout out to my wife, Lana, as it is her birthday TODAY! Happy birthday to an AMAZING human being (you know that if you’ve met her)! We were able to pull together a trip to New Orleans with ALL the kids..plus a couple of boyfriends…and went to the Zach Bryan concert last night. An ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!
