1. Product I’m loving…
I started a new morning routine this year. I’ll share more details about that in a future Friday’s Findings. A key component of that routine is the ritual of writing three things I am grateful for. I’ve talked numerous times about the power of gratitude, so to pick out three things you are grateful for every single day has incredible benefits. And writing those down makes them even more powerful. A tool I am using to help ensure consistency is The Five Minute Journal. This thing is perfect for me. It not only has me writing three things I am grateful for each morning, it also has me write down three things that will make that day great, and a daily affirmation, which starts with “I am…” I come up with a different affirmation each day. My January 5th affirmation… “I am a highly energetic being that attracts greatness into my life in all areas to make me a better servant to the universe and all those in it.” I also love that it has me writing in it before I go to bed… “3 amazing things that happened today…” and “How could I have made today better?” I highly recommend this simple journal to get your day started with increased clarity, purpose, and that grateful feeling with a fuller heart. 2. Cool video clip I saw…
I love things that make me go “Wow!” And things that trigger that feeling of “Awe.” This 25 second clip does both. Hope you enjoy!
2. Podcast I listened to this week… and loved…
I listen to a lot of podcasts, read and listen to a lot of books, and think of a lot of things that I want to share with you. I can’t share it all, and some things will be liked by a broader audience than others. Dr. Joe Dispenza is one of my favorites, but the info he shares is deep. It really is next-level information. I recently heard him on Lewis Howes’ podcast, The School of Greatness, and was blown away. It’s a 2-part podcast, and both parts were incredible. I am sharing Part 2 because I think it will appeal to more people. I believe it’s the best I’ve ever heard from Dr. Dispenza. If you like this one, then be sure to listen to Part 1. I hesitated to share this podcast because some will leave shaking their heads, wondering what the heck he was talking about. But… I believe it’s this information that will take me to my next level, so I felt I HAD to share. Enjoy! Click here to listen or see full link below.
**Extra**
I usually share just three things in each Friday’s Findings, but had to add this one. I have never had more questions as I have regarding the COVID vaccine. I am always very clear that I do not give medical advice, I am not telling you what to do in regards to getting, or declining, the vaccine, and respect whatever choice you make in regards to the vaccine. My goal… to share information that I find interesting and helpful to help you make the best decisions possible. All that being said… I am AMAZED at how many people are feeling pressured to get the vaccine. And more amazed that a hospital in Akron made the vaccine mandatory for their employees. Why am I so amazed? Because according the World Health Organization (and Dr. Fauci), these vaccines do not protect against getting the virus and do not protect against the spread of the virus. The vaccine may help reduce symptoms, and it may reduce the risk of serious illness. So… if getting the vaccine does not help protect those around you, and appears to only benefit the person getting the vaccine, why would hospital administrators, school administrators, city officials, and business owners and managers pressure their employees to get the vaccine? I am digging deep and trying hard to get good answers to this question. To date, I have not gotten any good answers. I have also talked to many patients that have been either misinformed or misled with information that simply is inaccurate. If you understand the information above, and feel that there is substantial benefit to getting the vaccine, and/or feel strongly that this vaccine is a good thing, then you should be able to get it. If you are uncomfortable with, or uncertain about, the vaccine, you should be able to decline at this time. And no judgement should be made either way. Many are holding off until more information becomes available. I believe this is the case for many of the 60% of healthcare workers that have declined the vaccine. If my discussing/sharing this information is upsetting to you, please re-read what I have written and note that I am not trying to persuade anyone to do anything, but merely trying to share information that I have found interesting and compelling in my own quest to determine if the vaccine is something I (and my family) would consider. To be pressured, coerced, or God-forbid mandated to get something that does not protect others, is unacceptable. I think most would agree with that.
