1. A shout out to mothers…
It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday, and I want to wish ALL mothers a happy day. To all mothers, never underestimate the influence you have on your children. And you are doing a phenomenal job. If you have young/teenage boys, do not take their behavior personally. My mother would often feel like she did something wrong, or wasn’t doing a good job, when I would screw up as a teenager. I remember thinking… you are doing an amazing job… I am just an idiot and do dumb things. My mother has been the MOST influential person in my life. Without question! I want to acknowledge her and thank her for her dedication, sacrifices, and incredible attitude and life philosophy. I am who I am because of her. Happy Mother’s Day to all you great moms!
2. I have news…
Last weekend, I did get engaged! Yeeeehaaaa! Many of you know, or have met, Lana (she manages our weight loss program), and know that she is an incredible human being. I can only sit back in awe of how life unfolds. I will share our full story someday soon, either in a post, or at a live event, because it’s a story worth sharing.
3. A video that I believe everyone MUST watch…
The one thing that has had me most concerned about the current vaccine rollout is what has appeared to be a lack of attention given to adverse events being experienced, and reported, after receiving the vaccines. This is not a “get the vaccine,” or “do not get the vaccine” issue. This is all about utilizing data throughout this experimental phase of a drug rollout. This is not unique to these vaccines; it is standard scientific protocol and procedure to ensure benefits outweigh risks. And at the bare minimum, the data we collect can help people make better informed decisions. I was sent this clip from at least a dozen people, all of which found it startling, alarming, and eye opening. Just FYI… I do not watch Fox News or any other mainstream news outlet. If you are not a fan of the source of the video, or the person presenting it (Tucker Carlton), ignore everything but the facts and figures presented. Let it open your mind to ask some very important questions. And if you think it is foolish, reckless, or careless to ask these questions, or if you are quick to ostracize those that are, the scientific process is being overlooked. Of course, people will use information to bolster their political ideas, support their philosophical beliefs, or push their agendas, but I can tell you that I look at the data. Take out politics, philosophies, and agendas, and the data is the data. I am not trying to persuade you into thinking one way or another. I am not giving medical advice. I have no agenda other than to share information that helps you live well, be safe, and make the best decisions possible. Watch the video… or don’t. Believe the data… or don’t. Get the vaccine… or don’t. It truly does not matter to me, or impact me, but I felt very compelled to share this video. Click here to watch.
