1. Question I got this week…
Someone asked me why I thought chiropractic care has become so much more popular and so much more widely used in recent years. The answer to that is simple… People are fed up with mainstream medicine, they are sick of taking medication, and they want something that addresses the cause of their health issues, rather than masking symptoms. Roughly 90% of the patients I see now are on a wellness plan… meaning that they came in with a problem, the problem was corrected, and now they get periodic adjustments to maintain those results and maximize their overall health. The research on chiropractic care’s effectiveness and impact is incredible… showing that chiropractic wellness patients demonstrate…
- 60% decrease in in-hospital admissions
- 59% decrease in hospital stays
- 62% decrease in outpatient surgeries and procedures
- 85% decrease in pharmaceutical costs
- 400% increase in immune function (WOW!!!)
2. Post I saw this week…
I saw a post with something President Jimmy Carter said at former Vice President, Hubert Humphrey’s funeral. Supposedly, it was a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, called The Seven Deadly Sins, that Gandhi attributed to human suffering. Here are the Seven Sins quoted by Carter…
- Wealth without work.
- Pleasure without conscience.
- Knowledge without character.
- Commerce without morality.
- Science without humanity.
- Worship without sacrifice.
- Politics without principle.
3. Quote I love…
I get James Clear’s weekly newsletter, called 3-2-1 Thursday. It is three ideas from him, two quotes from others, and one question for you to ponder. It’s a quick and easy read, and it is one thing I do read each week. You can check it out here (https://jamesclear.com/3-2-1), and subscribe if you’d like. Just make sure it’s the SECOND thing you read each week (after my Friday’s Findings, of course!😜). I loved his third idea from this week’s newsletter…
“A lovely blend: Always reaching. Already enough.”
I work very hard to try to strike that balance between striving for more and maximizing my abilities, while being happy and grateful for where I am and for what I have. It ain’t easy! (I’m adding an image that ChatGPT created when I gave it this prompt… “Create an inspirational image that shows our efforts to balance striving for more while being content, grateful, and happy for what we already have.”)
