1.What’s Wrong With That…
I came across this article about a mid-wife who was arrested for “practicing midwifery without a license,” yet does have a certification (CPM, Certified Professional Midwife). Obviously, there are complex issues involved, but women and families are seeking this type of birth process for a variety of reasons (religious, philosophical, cultural, financial, etc.). More natural and non-conventional healthcare choices are often vilified in the mainstream media and condemned by medical practitioners, often without merit. Preferring one method of managing your health and the health of your family over another is one thing, but trying to take the right to choose away from another individual is a BIG problem. Our three children were all born at home with a midwife. And, while I would never suggest that everyone do that, there are very specific and meaningful reasons we chose to go that route. 2. Cool Pic…
I think this image says so much. There is greatness within each of us. You don’t have to go out and find happiness, gratitude, self-esteem, spiritual connectedness. It is WITHIN YOU! Wellness is about chipping away at the garbage that has built up on you, suppressing and hiding your ultimate potential.
3. Thought I had…
I see patients come in to my office often with a long list of medications. Some as many as fifteen to twenty different meds, but most people are taking at least one to four. So here is my thought… if I took those same medications right now, I would feel sick. How do those same medications that would make you and me sick make a sick person well??? Hmmmm.
